What is Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a peer-to-peer electronic currency based on the Bitcoin protocol. In July 2017, a group of Bitcoin users, developers and miners decided to create a new version of Bitcoin which focuses on low fees and fast confirmations.
In times when the number of requested Bitcoin transactions surpassed the maximum capacity of the network, miners could not compensate the rise resulting in high transaction costs and long confirmation times. The Bitcoin Cash team simply increased the block size limit defined in the Bitcoin protocol from 1 MB to 8 MB with the aim of a higher total network capacity, faster confirmations and lower transaction costs.
How to store Bitcoin Cash
There are several wallets that you can use for storing your Bitcoin Cash. On the Bitcoin Cash Project Website you will find a list of secure and reliable wallets. You can either download one of the BitcoinCash clients like Bitcoin Unlimited or ABC which are based on the Bitcoin Core client or use one of the online wallets listed on the BitcoinCash website.
